I am pale, glistening through the darkness.
I orbit around the earth through a dark empty space.
I look to the east and see my friend–Hailey’s Comet.
I watch over the fools and young children.
On a good night, I glow, glisten–like molten lava.
I feel the rays of darkness–and lose hope.
I fill the earth with gleaming, glowing light.
I am the bright-red moon.
